On Wednesday, 27 March 2024, The Look A Head Cancer Charity (LAHCC) participated in the Stockton Spring Into Action – Wellington Wellness Event, where residents and visitors alike were provided with invaluable information and support regarding health issues.
Representing LAHCC, a dedicated team of volunteers seized the opportunity to engage with attendees, sharing knowledge about head and neck cancer and the available services for those displaying symptoms. As a registered charity committed to fighting cancer, LAHCC viewed this event as a pivotal moment to contribute to life-saving cancer awareness campaigns.
Head and neck cancer often goes unnoticed until it reaches advanced stages, making early detection crucial for successful treatment outcomes. At the event, LAHCC volunteers manned an information booth, where they distributed educational materials and engaged in one-on-one discussions with attendees. Through interactive sessions, visitors learned about the signs and symptoms of head and neck cancer, risk factors, and the importance of timely screenings.
In the relentless pursuit of a cancer-free future, LAHCC stands as a beacon of hope, demonstrating that through unity and determination, we can overcome even the most formidable of challenges. Together, we exist to fight cancer, one awareness campaign at a time.
